Reproduction of St. Patrick At The Well Vintage Label.

Label reads:
The Well of St. Patrick in the good old times, was the occasion of great and excessive water drinking on the 17th. of March, or St. Patrick’s Day in every year. The old Primates of Armagh attended at St. Patrick’s Well and with all their attendants drank a glass of its water to the memory of the Saint, and to the permanency of its water.

For many centuries the existence of St. Patrick’s Well remained unknown save to a few eminent men, and its qualities were only re-discovered some years since by Messrs. Cantrell & Cochrane, the celebrated Mineral Water Manufacturers, when they purchased their present premises in Nassau Place, Dublin. To the fact of the discovery of St. Patrick’s Well may be, perhaps, attributed the great fame which this firm now enjoys all over the world as manufacturers of Pure Mineral Waters; and there is nothing now to prevent Irishmen in both hemispheres from drowning their Shamrocks on St. Patrick’s Day in the waters of the most famous Wells of their country-whether it be Seltzer Water, Soda Water, or the Sparkling Aromatic Ginger Ale, so much appreciated by our transatlantic friends-mingled, if it should so please them, with a little of our far-famed Dublin Whiskey.

Beautifully matted and framed.
